Privacy Policy
DSGNher asks about money, work and goals, so privacy is built in from the start. This policy explains what DSGNher collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your personal information and we don’t show ads.
What we collect
- Waitlist, if you join it: your email and, if you choose, first name, goal and dream city. We use them only to invite you and to plan pods.
- Account: your first name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash; we can’t see them.
- Your plan: questionnaire answers (goal, city, home, spending choices, savings rate), current job title, income and monthly debt payments, budget edits, scenarios, chosen career path and milestones.
- Community, if you join: your display name, photo and social links if you add them, current role, what you’re working toward, topics, and whether to show your city and progress percent; check-ins, pod and direct messages, chat requests, blocks and reports.
- Membership, if you pay: Stripe processes payments. We receive your plan type, status and renewal date, not your card number.
- Technical: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and fixing problems.
How we use it
- To calculate your Lifestyle Number, budget, roadmap and career matches.
- To run your account: sign-in, email confirmation and password reset emails.
- To match you into a pod and deliver messages.
- To process membership and keep the community safe (reviewing reports).
- To fix bugs and improve DSGNher.
We don’t use your financial details for advertising, and we don’t sell or rent personal information.
Who can see what
- Only you: your income, debt, budget, scenarios and Lifestyle Number. They are never shown to other members.
- Members: your community profile (display name, photo, social links, role, what you’re working toward, topics, and your city and progress percent only if you allow it).
- Your pod: pod messages and check-ins.
- One other person: direct messages, and only after a chat request is accepted.
- Our team: reports you send, and data needed to investigate them or support you.
These rules are enforced in our database, not just in the app’s screens.
Service providers
We use trusted companies to run DSGNher. They may process your data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and email delivery.
- Stripe: payments for membership.
- Anthropic: when you use “Ask about my plan”, we send your plan figures and your question (not your name or email) to generate an explanation.
- Our hosting provider: serves the website.
We may share information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale (you’ll be told first).
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can edit your plan and profile anytime, leave the community from the Me page (which removes your profile and pod membership), and delete your account from the Me page. Deleting your account permanently removes your plans, profile, messages and check-ins. Backups are overwritten within 30 days. We may keep limited records where the law requires (for example payment records).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia, the EU or UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to some uses. Most of this you can do yourself in the app. For anything else, email support@example.com; we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access rules that limit who can read each kind of data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children
DSGNher is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. See also our Terms of Service.
